PACKAGING>

My roots have been with Novell products. I love their product, but it isnt perfect.

I originally started packaging using Novells ZENworks - in particular using Novells Snapshot utility. That combined with vbscript and Winbatch got me by for many years.

That was many years ago.

Since then, time has since introduced things like Wise, AdminStudio, MSIs and WMI. These are the tools I use today to package.

Well, I did use AdminStudio, but now my tool of choice is Wise.

The aim of this page is not to replicate whats in AppDeploy, but what it aims to do is be a place that I can put tips / hints / code which will help with the packaging process.

I will also cover Microsofts SMS (Some Microsoft Shit), as I use that crap software now to deploy (push) software to 1500 workstations - fun stuff =
